Access & Facilities For People With Disabilities

Everyone is welcome at Elmwood and we are doing our best to make everyone comfortable in our surroundings, including these with extra needs.

Parking

The entrance to the car park is from Wilton Rd and has several disabled parking bays situated by the car park entrance to the church. Please arrive in good time to ensure a space.

Wheelchair access

Most areas of the church are accessible by wheelchair. A separate disabled toilet is near the ladies' toilets.

Hard of hearing

The main auditorium has an infra-red loop system. This requires a small relay device in the form of a necklace to be worn by a hearing aid user with the hearing aid set to the 'T' position. This can either be collected at the start of the service from the sound desk or by asking a Steward.

Signing for the deaf

All morning services are currently signed in BSL. Our team is trained in BSL to level 2 or above. The signer stands to the left of the stage as viewed from the pews. The signing team would love to meet anybody requiring signing, so please make yourself known to them.

Large print song books

Large print song books are available from the Stewards at the auditorium entrance and contain many of the songs we use week to week.
