From 13-25th February 2024, a team of 12 will head to Ethiopia to visit the Stand by Me project in Bekoji.

Stand by Me (www.standby.me) a charity based in Essex, UK rescues vulnerable children across the world and provides them with an education.

The team have been busy fundraising to provide essential equipment for the children in the Stand by Me village. Each child will receive new pjs, bedding and towels. The team will also take out lots of craft material and clothing.

During the visit the team will be painting  a newly constructed kitchen and toilet block and paying for much needed new furniture for the family home. Others will be visiting the classrooms delivering English speaking lessons and leading workshops on important topics.

Lots of food parcels will be to some of the most needy families in the community. There will also be opportunity to do crafts and sports with the children.
